CENTRAL LOFT APARTMENT
- Year of design concept: 2015
- Year of execution: 2016
- Total area: 140 sqm
- Task: interior architecture, side supervision
We designed this gorgeous apartment as the first home of a young couple in the downtown Budapest, in one of the corner top apartments of an art deco style building. The apartment was in a pour condition and run-down in the beginning of the work.
Considering this fact it was a twist that the owner wanted a penthouse look-a-like apartment in the style of industrial lofts.
The renovated flat perfectly reflects to it by looking at the bare brick wall, the faced concrete ceiling and structural elements. In the same time the roller blind boxes of the windows or the built-in balcony, which has been converted to a study, continues to transmit the authentic atmosphere of Budapest.
Following the concept huge open space has been created incorporates the hall, the living area and the kitchen. This concept gave the designer great opportunity to create a single generous unit connected very impressive kitchen island.
All the storage system is hidden in the cubic units that is covered by natural oak in the center of the flat giving a special and unique aesthetics. This storage system is built around the bathroom and wardrobe unit, making it the core of the living space as it was our interior design concept.
